Weekly scan · Cards · Toys · Comics · Coins · Sneakers · Watches · Games · Art

If it's collectible, we scan it for hidden value.

RarityScanner tracks everything of collectible value (trading cards, toys and model kits, comics, coins and bullion, sneakers, watches, video games, vintage memorabilia and art) and flags the items whose everyday prices haven't caught up with top-grade sales. Every find is ranked by an Undervalued Score, with sourced, dated prices.

How we rank

A transparent score you can check yourself. We publish the inputs, the source and the date on every card.

The Undervalued Score (0 to 100)

It measures how far the cheapest common way to own an item lags behind recent top-grade sales. For trading cards that's an ungraded copy vs PSA 10; future boards use each market's top grade (e.g. CGC 9.8 comics, MS70 coins, sealed/graded games).

gap = top-grade price ÷ entry price (cards: PSA 10)
score = min(100, round(40 × log₁₀(gap)))
  1. Entry price is the ungraded/raw market value. If there's no reliable raw value, we use the next grade down (PSA 9 for cards) and the item moves to the Graded filter.
  2. Log scale so one extreme card doesn't flatten everyone else. A 10× gap scores 40, 100× scores 80, about 316× or more maxes out at 100.
  3. Momentum (price change over time) is shown as a badge. It doesn't change the score yet.
  4. No top-grade comp, no score. Items like that are listed as Unscored under their momentum note, never given an estimated number.
  5. Outlier filter: single sudden spikes go on the watch list until more sales confirm them.

What the score can't tell you

  • Most raw items will not reach the top grade. The gap is the upside if one does.
  • Grading/authentication costs, fees, shipping, storage and counterfeits aren't included.
  • Thin markets can move fast in either direction.
